Hey everyone! I hope everyone is recovering from PAX Unplugged! We wanted to give you a quick update on the status of the final waves for the Kickstarter!
Wave 4: Rambo and Universal Soldier
Rambo and Universal Soldier are shipping as we speak to North and South American backers. These were printed in the USA, so they are going out to this group of multi-wave backers a little earlier. We expect our international warehouses to receive these in the next two weeks when all other multi-wave backers will have their copies shipped.

Wave 5: The Vault (And Single-Wave Backer Orders)
The Vault is in transit to various warehouses around the world. This is the last item we need to complete the Kickstarter! We expect it to be delivered to our US warehouse around December 18th. This should mean shipping to North and South American backers later that week. It will arrive at our international warehouses shortly, and I hope to start shipping those orders just after Christmas. With this, we will be shipping to all of our single-wave backers and bringing the Kickstarter campaign to a close! We are in the home stretch.

Rambo and Universal Soldier Physical Books Shipping Soon!

The Rambo and Universal Soldier books are currently on the way! All the books are on their way to their various warehouses and will be distributed to you all soon after they arrive. Our current schedule is as follows (keep in mind these are just estimates, and we’ll update you again if anything changes):
North and South America (also servicing the “Rest of World” region) - These books will be the first that go out to backers, and they’ll start shipping early next month! We have not been given an exact date yet, but please look out for shipment notifications in the coming weeks. This includes Canada as well.
Europe - These books will be the second group of books to go out, following shortly behind the North and South America books. Since those will be shipping in early November, we’re looking at mid-November for European fulfillment.
Asia/Australia - Last in the order are all the books going to Asia and the Australian regions. Based on the aforementioned estimates, our team has been told that these books will start shipping to backers at the end of November this year.
The Vault will be Shipping in December as well!

We’ve also got an update for our rules compilation book, now titled The Vault: Rules Compendium Vol. 1! These books will be shipping all around the same time, actually. Our Operations team has let us know that because of when they finished and ship out, rather than going out in big sections based on timing and region, all the shipments of The Vault are managing to sync up together. Right now, according to our estimations, The Vault books will start shipping in early December, and we’ll post another update once we get close to that as well. Knowing that we plan to do our Military Heroes Gamefound campaign in January, we know how imperative it is to get you all of your games before that campaign goes live. We need you to know that this is a huge priority for us, and based on our current estimates, we are on track to have all the final waves starting in December of this year, before the campaign.
We’re working on getting you all the Digital files too! As of right now, the PDFs for The Vault, Rambo, and Universal Soldier are ready, and we’re currently arranging getting those to you in a timely fashion! Thank you again to all our community members who helped with our final stages of proofreading the books. Your names are being immortalized in the credits of the book under Evil Aggressive Entomologists (what we now call our bug bashers), so please take a look at that once you get your books! To show credit where credit is due, we’ll be immortalizing this community contribution forever. We’ll be including this in all our books moving forward, and I’m happy to have been responsible for making that happen. We'll be releasing the PDFs for those tomorrow through DriveThruRPG. Please be on the lookout for the associated emails!
I’d like to also give you an update regarding expedited shipping with these waves going out. If you opted out of expedited shipping options and the last books on your order that needed to be made are Rambo and Universal Soldier, your entire order will be shipping with that wave! However, if you opted out of expedited shipping and you ordered The Vault: Rules Compendium Vol. 1, your entire order will not be shipping to you until December when those books are ready to ship. If you originally opted out of expedited shipping but would like to receive your books now, you can switch over, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. Since there’s only one month left of waiting, it would be safer to get all your goods at once when the wave is ready rather than splitting it up so late in the game. That being said, you can make that decision on your own, and whatever you decide to do, I’ll respect it! I’ve got a short update for you today! In the spirit of tricks and treats, we at Evil Genius Games have only treats for you this year. Also, for transparency, I’ll be posting this update in both this campaign as well as our Legendary Bundle campaign, so if you have already read it there, you can disregard this one. Alright, let’s get to it!
Mini Adventure for The Crow - AVAILABLE THROUGH HALLOWEEN!
Have you guys been enjoying our Cinematic Adventure for The Crow? If you have, and even if you haven’t had the chance to look into yet, this mini adventure will be perfect for you! Just for Halloween, we created a stand-alone additional adventure in the world of The Crow. It’s called Foresight's Folly, and people are already really enjoying it. We wrote it to work seamlessly in your Crow campaigns as it can serve as a prequel to “Prayers of the Past,” the adventure we already included in the Cinematic Adventure! Just like our others, this one is 5s compatible, AND it comes with two full color maps!
Keep in mind, this adventure will only be available for the rest of the month! You have until midnight on Halloween to get this adventure, so make sure you don’t miss it. You can find it here, on our website. Set the alarms on your phones and clocks and kitchen egg timers!
Military Heroes Campaign Coming to Gamefound in January 2024!
As many of you know, we’re launching our Military Heroes crowdfunding campaign on Gamefound! After some deliberation with the team and in order to be able to give you guys the best game we can, we decided to push the launch back to January 2024. You will not want to miss this campaign. Here are some of the things we have in store for it:
Military Heroes serves as an additional military focussed supplement to Everyday Heroes. It will have new backgrounds, occupations, and feats that combine to reflect military specialties.

Tools on how to build military encounters
For the campaign, we’re collaborating with two charities, Imagination Veterans and Stack-Up, both of which committed to championing the preservation of mental health in Veterans through gaming
We’ll be donating more money to them every stretch goal, during the second weekend of the campaign, we’ll be donating $50 to them for every $1000 you give us, with our “Evil Genius with Battle Buddy” and “Evil Hitman with Battle Buddy” backer tiers, you can pay to donate a whole game and send it to a Veteran in need, AND I (Maya) will be hand crocheting sweaters for service dogs as an add on. 10% of those proceeds will go to the charities as well! The more we succeed in the campaign, the more we give to them!
We’ve beefed up the writing team on this project as well! We have game writers who are also Veterans from all over the world, including Luke Gygax, son of Gary Gygax, and creator of Gary Con and Gaxx Worx!
We also have a follower gift! For all those who follow the game by clicking the “FOLLOW” button on the Gamefound page and then backing some sort of tier with goods to receive, you’ll also get an additional free one-shot! This Military Heroes themed one-shot has been written by the producer of our project and one of the original designers of d20 Modern, Rich Redman. So, be sure to follow the campaign! Following the campaign means you’ll get email notifications on backer updates we send, polls we do about game content, and any other announcements regarding the campaign! If you back a tier with games to receive of some kind, you can follow the campaign at ANY TIME while the campaign is live to get this free one-shot, so be sure to do that! It’ll be sent in PDF form with the rest of the games.

Thank you to everyone who helped us bug bash The Vault! You guys did a fantastic job, and the book was sent off to the printer. We hope you’re excited for it! With all the cool Cinematic Adventure rules together in one place, even more moldable and flexible than ever to be used in your homebrew campaigns, we think The Vault will be absolutely essential to making your campaigns that much more epic. We’re still on time with that later in the year release!
For Rambo and Universal Soldier, we’ve just started bug bashing those now! For anyone who would like to be involved in that by the way, all you have to do is join our discord server and emoji the outreach post in the announcements chat calling for volunteers. As a reminder, all bug bashers who find bugs that we are able to catch and fix will be credited in all our books going forward as our Evil Aggressive Entomologists! It’s a great opportunity not only to make our books better but also to get involved directly in what we’re making! Since those books are still being bashed presently, they have not been sent to the printer yet, but they will soon, and we’ll make you aware of that!
It’s the Dawning of the Age of the VTT! Foundry and Roll20 Codes Are Available!
I know a lot of you were anxiously awaiting the Roll20 codes, and I’m happy to say that the wait is over! To all those who ordered the Everyday Heroes Core Rulebook on Roll20, we sent you your codes via BackerKit at the end of last month. If you missed that email or if you’re having issues with your code, you can reach out to me at [email protected] for help with that. We want to make sure you can play your games! None of the other modules are finished yet, but when they are, we’ll send those codes to you via BackerKit as well. Be on the lookout for emails both from us and BackerKit too!
As for Foundry, those codes are available as well, and the process is similar. For those who ordered the Everyday Heroes Core Rulebook, Escape From New York, and The Crow on Foundry, those codes were sent to you via DriveThruRPG. If that email got lost in the shuffle or if your mail client rudely assumed it was spam, I can help you get those too! In general, if you’re having trouble or you’re in a bind, send me an email, and I’ll do my best to unravel and solve. It’s what I’m here for!
New Facebook Pages and Gamefound Campaign!
Military Heroes is coming to Gamefound in November!
We’ve made some new Facebook pages for our individual products! As you know, we’ve had an Evil Genius Games Facebook page for quite some time now. In light of new products coming out, we made a new page for Everyday Arcana and Military Heroes as well! There is already a lovely group for Everyday Heroes, and we’ve teamed up with them to make it an official group from here on out! There will still be lovely community posts that we do hope you all continue, but I will also be making official posts from the company about the game as it progresses. Please like both pages and join the group for community discussion about our books and official posts from me about what we’re working on.
We are also bringing Military Heroes to Gamefound! We at Evil Genius Games are strong supporters of the intersection of gaming and mental health, and this campaign is a great way for you to get involved too. We're teaming up with two charities, Imagination Veterans and Stack Up! By supporting us, you're also supporting them, providing funding and games for Veterans who need it. The campaign will launch in November, and there are lots of ways to help. First of course, portions of the proceeds are going to both groups, but in addition to that, you have the option to back tiers where you purchase a game to be donated directly to a Veteran. There’s also something else very unique and important about the campaign! As a person with OCD myself, I trained my service dog alongside many Vets in my area.
